Christian Singles Fellowship
Formerly Chapelgate Career Fellowship (CCF)

Christian Singles Fellowship (CSF) is designed to meet the needs of career-minded adults.  Understanding your interests and needs, our aim is to bring the truth of God's Word to bear upon every aspect of your life in relevant, practical, and encouraging ways.

We meet on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

We were hosted by Chapelgate Presbyterian Church as CCF from 1985 to 2007, but now we are independent and have changed our name.

Important Business Meeting

Members please join us July 20, 2008, at 6:00 PM (an hour before the regular meeting) to vote for a replacement on Leadership for Jared.  Two candidates were nominated in the previous business meeting.

Location

We meet at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Ellicott City. (directions)

Going Away Party

We will have a going-away party for Jared, Sunday July 20th!  Jared has served as the backbone of CSF during and since our transition and will be sorely missed.  Direct questions to Lynn.

Activities

October 3-5, 2008,  Sandy Cove Singles Conference.
Featuring Dr. Henry Cloud.  It's too late to sign up with CSF, but you can still sign up directly with Sandy Cove.  Prayerfully consider joining us.

If anyone has any suggestions for activities, Please let me know.  Thanks, Lynn.

Directory

We are putting together a directory of names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of CSF attendees.  We're starting from scratch, not using the old CCF directory, so everyone who wants to be in it must provide information.  Everyone is encouraged to participate.

The in-progress directory will be circulated on Sunday nights so it may be verified and so entries may be added.  Alternately, entries may be emailed to Ken.  When complete, the printed directories will be available on Sunday nights.

This is taking longer than expected due to printer problems.  But hopefully, these will be ready this Sunday!

About the Ministry

Our format includes a time of singing and listening to God's Word, followed by fellowship and refreshments.  An active network of small groups provides a further avenue of study and interaction.

Regular attendance Sunday evenings is approximately 40 people.

The age range is mostly 40's and 50's with a few older and a few in their 30's.

Mission Statement

Christian Singles Fellowship is a Christ-centered, Bible-based ministry to Christian singles in the Baltimore-Washington area.

Purpose

Our purpose is to provide a spiritual environment where Christian singles may praise and worship the Lord, hear and practice the Word through Christian ministry, and fellowship with one another through informal services and wholesome activities.  Christian Singles Fellowship encourages single adults to realize their unique value and gifts.

Statement of Faith

We Believe....

...in the divinity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

...that the perfect Jesus was born into a sinful human world, lived a sinless human life, died a martyr's death on the cross, and was resurrected to life again on the third day.

...that God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as a Sacrifice for our sins and works through us with the power of the Holy Spirit.

....that Christ's earthly death, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven is the only payment for our sins and the only hope for eternal life with God for everyone who puts their trust in Him for salvation.

....that human kind is in a sinful state and is in need of the grace of Jesus and forgiveness of sins.

...that God accepts all those who believe in Christ, ask for forgiveness of sins, and willingly receive the free gift of salvation through faith.

....that Jesus is coming again.

....that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for all Christians.

...that all areas of life are grounded in a Biblical perspective and that the indwelling and guidance of the Holy Spirit help us to understand and do God's will as revealed through Scripture and prayer.

...that we should celebrate Christian disciplines such as prayer, Bible study, fellowship with other believers, and service.
